Completing the Learning World

With this step-by-step guide, you will complete an existing learning space. You will also design a new learning space and create connections between the learning spaces.
Completing the Learning Space 3D Learning Environment and Moodle

What are we doing here?
You open the learning space and change its metadata.
Then you add external learning material to the authoring tool.
Afterwards, you create three learning elements, provide them with metadata, and assign the appropriate learning material to them.
Finally, you create dependencies between the learning spaces.
a. Adjusting the Learning Space Metadata
In the right area of the window, double-click on the image of the learning space Moodle and 3D Learning Environment.
Now, in the Edit Learning Space tab, click on the Completion Condition category to expand it.
Now increase the number of points to 8.
Click the save icon in the upper left corner of the window to save your unsaved changes.
b. Adding External Learning Material
Click on the External Learning Material tab in the left area of the authoring tool.
Click here to download the required External Learning Material or download the "External Learning Material for creating the missing learning elements" from the workshop landing page.
Unzip the downloaded .ZIP file.
Drag the file with the .h5p extension into the light blue area to add it to the authoring tool.
Click the save icon in the upper left corner of the window to save your unsaved changes.
Click on the Add Link category to expand it.
Copy the name below.
Floor Plans Themes Avatar and 3DNow paste it into the Name for the link text field.
Copy the link below.

Confirm your entry with the OK button.
Click the save icon in the upper left corner of the window to save your unsaved changes.
Now repeat steps 7-12 to create the second required link as external learning material. You will find the necessary information below.
c. Creating Two Learning Elements
As shown in the illustration, click on one of the free learning element slots.
The Create Learning Element tab opens in the left area. Now enter the metadata Name, Points, Workload, and Difficulty.

EasyNow click in the search bar in the External Learning Material category and enter the file name of the learning material below.

Floor Plans Themes Avatar and 3DAssign the found external learning material to the learning element by clicking on the list entry.
Next, click on the 3D Representation category and select a 3D representation of your choice by clicking on it.
Click on the Description category and copy the description text below into the text field.

Now repeat steps 2-7 of this chapter Creating Two Learning Elements and insert the missing learning element into a free learning element slot.
Click the save icon in the upper left corner of the window to save your unsaved changes.
d. Connecting Learning Spaces (Learning Path)
In the right tab Connections between Learning Spaces, click the Create Condition button.
Click the toggle switch of the And/Or connection. The toggle switch now changes to And.
Hover your mouse over the gray background area of the And connection and drag the And connection below the learning spaces Authoring Tool and Moodle and 3D Learning Environment.
Now click the orange Plus button on the Authoring Tool learning space, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the arrow that now appears to the And connection.
Repeat step 4 for the Moodle learning space and also connect it to the previously created And connection.
Click the save icon in the upper left corner of the window to save your unsaved changes.
Designing a New Learning Space

You create a new learning space and assign metadata to it.
Then you create a story element and add story texts to it.
Finally, you create a learning element with the corresponding metadata.
a. Creating a New Learning Space
Click the New button in the left Edit Learning Space area.
Now fill in the missing metadata below in the General, Completion Condition, and Description categories.

Now go to the Connections between Learning Spaces tab in the right area and drag the newly created learning space Conclusion to the position shown in the image below.
Connect the And connection to the Conclusion learning space using the orange Plus button on the And connection.
Click the save icon in the upper left corner of the window to save your unsaved changes.
b. Creating a Story Element
Click on the slot located on the left side in the Learning Space Editor.
Copy the name below and enter it in the Name field in the opened Create Story Element tab.
